INCOGNITO - fun with nondisclosure

The seventh annual INCOGNITO exhibition and benefit of the Santa Monica Museum of Art takes place this Saturday evening.  The show features original 8” x 10” pieces by 500 contemporary artists, many of whom are local to Los Angeles. The artists sign the back of their work, but the artist’s identity is only revealed after purchase.  Each piece is priced at $300.00, while the event’s ticket prices vary. Among INCOGNITO’s artists this year are my personal favorites, Josh Schweitzer and Gary Ward.  Ed Ruscha’s back for another round, along with John Baldessari, Devendra Banhart, Kristin Calabrese, Tofer Chin, and those are just a few from the A-Cs.
